We are looking for a researcher (f/m/d) to support the work of the Deep Cuts project part-time (50%), starting next February until end of 2022 and based in Berlin. The main task will be to coordinate the work of the new Young Deep Cuts Commission which will bring together 12 young experts from Germany, Russia, and the United States. In coordination with the Deep Cuts Commission, the Young Deep Cuts Commission will tackle and discuss arms control issues and provide ideas for the Deep Cuts project, including through joint publications. The coordinator of the Young Deep Cuts Commission will consult closely with the project head at IFSH as well as with the project partners in Moscow and Washington. Communicative competence, team orientation and initiative are required, some experience in managing research and policy transfer activities and knowledge of arms control and disarmament issues are necessary.
